History of Ajax Nissan

What is known today as Ajax Nissan opened at Kingchurch Nissan at Church Street and Kingston Road in Ajax before moving to 375 Bayly Street.

In 2002, Ajax Nissan was purchased by Drive Auto Group and brought under the company banner. In October 2009 the store moved to its current address 500 Bayly Street, just on the other side of Westney Road.

Town of Ajax

Ajax, a town situated just east of Toronto on the 401, had existed for nearly two decades before the surrounding area of Pickering. The Ontario Municipal Board recognized Ajax as a town in 1954.

Later, when the Regional Municipality of Durham Region was established in 1974, Ajax agreed to be a part of it. 

Ajax is a thriving city with several popular attractions such as the Ajax Downs Casino, Greenwood Conservation Area, and Pickering Village.

Additionally, visitors can partake in seasonal activities such as Summer In The Square and Winterfest.
